About Us

Our home and business is Territorial Farm Stay and Synergy Stables, located in the heart of Oregon wine country. We began as a family owned stable, focusing on beautiful gaited Paso Fino Horses and natural horsemanship, established in 2007.  Beginning in 2012 we established a bed and breakfast and farm stay with guest rooms in our cozy farm house and  RV/horse trailer parking and a barn available for folks traveling through with or without horses.  In the fall of 2015 we added our RV guest house for "glamping" on the farm. In 2020, we "re-invented" ourselves to focus on our Farm Stay offerings and increased horse activities for guests, while continuing our accommodations for traveling horses and their people.

Our Farm Stays offer the opportunity to be immersed in country living, have fun on the farm, meet the animals, experience the horses, check out the garden, help with the chores, and learn about an agricultural lifestyle.  Fun with your friends.  Fun for the whole family.

Owner Mary Schoenheit grew up on a farm in Missouri and has been passionate about horses and country living all of her life.  Even as a child, she dreamed of owning a horse farm one day. As a young adult, life took her to Alaska, where she spent 34 years focusing on a professional career in the public and nonprofit sector and raising her family.

When the younger children were launched, Mary joined her older daughter Jerri in Oregon.  In partnership with Jerri, she bought her farm near Junction City, OR, and together they established Synergy Stables. Mary continued her career in the nonprofit industry in Oregon, and then moved on to the wine industry, which became a new passion.

In 2012, Mary refocused to bring together her love of horses and wine and country living all together with the launching of Territorial Bed & Breakfast & Barn, which became Territorial Farm Stay in 2020.

Near or far, Mary's children are her support and inspiration in this family business.  Daughter Jerri is a partner in the farm and is a project management consultant. She is enjoying a year in Alaska, returning to the family roots. She is also a dog trainer and supports Mom with farm management advice.  Son Anders, a graduate of the University of Oregon,  launched his IT career in Eugene and moved on to work in Seattle, and is now in Charlotte, NC experiencing new adventures. Younger daughter Julia made the ultimate adventure leap to living in Australia. She is a psychologist in Sydney, working with children and adults. Julia and her Aussie husband Philip welcomed their son Vincent to the world in 2019 and now they are expecting again in March of 2023.   Julia keeps her family connected to the excitement of living "down under."

Please bring your family and your friends and join our family on the farm.
